Yaaaaaaay!!!!Ramadan is next week guys and I am so excited for it’s the?Holy Month where everything is as blissful as it gets,if it were possible we would all want Ramadan to be everyday, nothing goes wrong in this month, and who wouldn’t want a month of blessings on blessings? everyday! I guess no one.
Anyways by the end of this month we will be having the icing on the cake guys and that would be EID ( high pitch scream) and for this we have to brace ourselves for the Merrymaking vibes!
So with EID just around the corner I wanted to share with you a two part beauty inspiration post! I got to work with two powerful minds Joy Balogun of Sunshine Balogun
? as the make up artist and Clement Kiragu of thebotl
?as the photographer for this project (guys first of all, allow me to just Sigh as I let the images simmer into my brain LOL).There is nothing more fulfilling than working with people who appreciate perfection. These two are the reason I still believe in good competent people out there who earnestly love their work.
Joy turned me into a goddess with just simple make up tricks while clement took his time to create perfect pictures that gave justice to the make up and for that I am greatly humbled and honored!
Anyways we all know EID is entirely the only holiday we celebrate and so everyone needs to be all glammed up…and what better way to do it ?than just apply make up that makes you feel all beautiful and sassy!
I hope this beauty post will inspire you to change your make up game this coming EID?
We started off with a more subtle relaxed look, where Joy decided to use BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel (14 eyeshadows and highlighter palette). She used shade no.3 for the eye lids. The neutral color will later help us play lip swatches with different lipsticks.
For the eye liner she used white Nyx jumbo pencil in ‘milk’. To make the eyes more defined we put lashes on and opted for a strong brow. For the lips she opted for a nude lipstick to enhance the whole neutral make up theme ~Dose of Color in the color ‘Truffle’ . A simple head wrap summed up the first look.
With look 2,I opted to go bold and what better way to show your boldness other than a red lippie. She Mixed Nakshi Nouba number 7 and dose of colors ‘coral crush’ to achieve this bold fierce look. Here I opted to go for my daily headscarf routine.
And finally we all know EID isn’t EID if there is no henna involved! So I went for brown henna instead of the occasional black henna we usually use. Henna sets up the festive mood to 100%.
Thanks for reading lovelies and hope you got inspired
